After several setbacks due to lockdown, we're very happy to say Gardening Club is officially back. We know many of you have been awaiting this announcement so make sure you're at Llanrumney Hall every Wednesday to get your hands dirty!
In the early stages of the polytunnel we've already began planting potatoes, strawberries, cherry tomatoes, aubergines, beetroot, lettuce, peppers, squash, basil, fennel, mint, fruit trees and more!! All produce will be returned to the local community, distributed through The Pantry and will also be used in Thackeray At The Hall (Café).
The club will be running from 11am-3pm with a break in between so come down when it suits and enjoy some social time with the community. The club will start off each week with a chat amongst members about plans for the polytunnel and what to grow and how to expand etc. Afterwards the members can start on the physical work. You do not have to attend the whole day though, feel free to pop along when you are able to. We also want to hear about what YOU want to plant so let us know if you have any thoughts.
We look forward to seeing you there 👍
