The Cardiff Half Marathon
From everyone here at Llanrumney Hall, we want to say a huge congratulations to Esme for completing the Cardiff Half Marathon!
It was such a great day, and the sun was shining across all of Cardiff. The atmosphere of the crowd the whole distance of the race was incredible which kept all the runners in good spirits! Throughout the race, Esme kept smiling and pushing through to finish the race in an amazing 2 hours 12 minutes.
We want to thank Esme for choosing Llanrumney Hall as her charity to run for. The money raised will go towards hosting events and activities at the Hall to benefit the community of Llanrumney. The final figure raised totalled an amazing £401.31. CMB Engineering have kindly pledged to match the amount raised by Esme, bringing the final figure to an amazing £802.62!
We want to thank the lovely individuals who donated and shared her fundraising, it means a lot to everyone at the Trust.
We spoke to Esme after completing the race:
“I’m so happy to have finished the race and so pleased with how much I managed to raise! I know the money is going to a great cause and will make a huge difference within the Llanrumney area. It was so lovely to have lots of you down on the day to support me and the other runners, it kept me smiling throughout. Thank you to everyone who donated, shared my posts, shared The Hall’s posts, and came down on the day! I am so grateful to CMB Engineering for matching my total amount raised. I know the money is going to something great and worthwhile.”
