Steve Borley
Steve Borley is a serial entrepreneur who has substantial experience and expertise in the construction and engineering market. He is also a respected member of the Cardiff and Llanrumney communities with excellent ties to local sports clubs and facilities, including Managing Director of CMB Engineering Limited, Director of Cardiff City FC, Cardiff City House of Sport, Borley Property Investment, and School Governor of Eastern High School.
Rupert Thomas
Rupert Thomas is a long standing solicitor in the Cardiff Area. He has now joined the Ince Gordon Dadds group of solicitors. Training at Phillips & Buck in Cardiff, he qualified in 1983 and remained with the firm until leaving to set up his own firm Thomas Graham in 1988, which merged in 2018 making Rupert a senior partner in the Cardiff office of Ince, an international law firm.
He undertakes a wide variety of non-contentious commercial work with an emphasis on commercial property and in his spare time, Rupert is a golfer, a follower of all ball sports, cooks curries and enjoys time with his family.
Christine Borley
Christine Borley joins our board with a wealth of experience and expertise in the business world, having served as Director of CMB Engineering for almost 30 years. Christine was born and raised in Llanrumney and has developed some great relationships and connections throughout the City of Cardiff during her professional career.
Since retiring from CMB Engineering, Christine has devoted a great deal of her time to Llanrumney Hall and has been instrumental in building this Charity from the ground up. She continues to play an active role in the charity from her hands on work in planning and arranging community events, to more administrative responsibilities such as aiding in the selection of our staff.
John Couzens
John Couzens has an extensive career in Commercial Property Management, where his portfolio of over 20 years includes major Cardiff Shopping Centres, Food Courts and Retail Parks.
John lived in Llanrumney Hall for many years as a child in the 1950's when fields and farms were the only neighbours.
His skill-set includes Commercial Service Charges, Marketing and Procurement & Operations, whilst his hobbies include music and aviation.
Returning to the Hall after many years, he is keen on contributing to the Community by helping to keep the Hall alive and successful.
Simon Thomas
Simon Thomas has over 30 years experience working within the building product manufacturing sector including 20 years board experience in the SME and corporate sectors.
He was Managing Director of businesses within the Euroclad Group based in Cardiff. Following the sale of the businesses in 2016 to Kingspan Group PLC he was appointed Group Managing Director with responsibility for integrating the businesses under the new ownership. In 2019 he decided to leave the Group to focus on a Portfolio Business Advisor career.
Simon has a strong commercial and operational skillset along with Non-Executive Board experience. A keen sportsman, after playing rugby now enjoys running, cycling, golf and watching all sports. Sits on the Welsh Academicals RFC committee on a voluntary basis and has been elected Chairman from season 2022/23.
Jo Parker
Jo Parker has worked in the Finance Industry for 23 years within a large corporation. She spent her years growing up in Llanrumney until she moved to it's neighbouring town of St.Mellons where many of her family and friends reside. She has a passion for investigating the Paranormal, and Llanrumney Hall is one of her bases where she provides in house investigation activities to the local commmunity.
When Jo isn't on the hunt for Paranormal Activity, she spends her time hiking and wild swimming. She has also completed 3 London marathons and has prospects to complete a fourth.
