Christmas Recap at Llanrumney Hall

During December, we hosted and supported a variety of successful activities and events including our renowned Christmas Pantry Day, our Princess Event, Christmas Markets & Santa’s Grotto, and an exciting visit from Santa’s Sleigh!

December was a huge success for Llanrumney Hall and was a great way to end 2022 and begin the New Year on a high! We cannot wait to see what 2023 will bring for our community! We wanted to share our successes with you and reflect on a positive end to the year.

Christmas Markets & Santa’s Grotto:

Saturday 26th of November was a great day at Llanrumney Hall to kickstart the festive season and get everyone in the Christmas Spirit! Local children got to meet Santa to find out whether they were on the naughty or nice list, and 15 small business owners lit up The Hall with their unique and creative products. Local small business owners included Seren Cosmetics UK, Elite Breakthrough Solutions, TG Custom Creations, Just Add Glitter - Cardiff, Bags of Charm, Bunch of Munch, Delicious Delights, Lots of Love, Stitched and Crafts, Sue's Crafts, Crafty Business UK, Unique Creations and H and H Crafters. You can buy most of their products all year round. This was a great way to head into December!

Christmas Princess Event:

The Princesses from Glass Slipper Events came back to Llanrumney Hall this Christmas due to everyone adoring them the last time! We had over 70 children in attendance gathered in the Kemey's Room which was decorated to Christmas perfection, and we think it's fair to say all the children had a great time! We're already looking forward to the next one so keep your eyes peeled!

Santa’s Sleigh:

Santa and his Elves flew past Llanrumney Hall on his sleigh in the middle of December to bring some Christmas sparkle to the Hall! It was brilliant to see Santa's rather unconventional and creative Rudolph at the front of his sleigh, everyone was so excited! More importantly the event aimed to raise money for a Welsh Children's Cancer Charity, 'Latch', to which the urgency of this Charity doesn't require emphasis. We hope the contribution made at Llanrumney Hall's stop will make a difference in ensuring these children get the happy Christmas that they deserve. A huge thank you to Michael Price, Rhys Wozencroft, Clare O'Reilly and Mark John for organizing this remarkable event!

Christmas Pantry Day:

We saw off the festivities of 2022 with our Christmas Pantry Day which generated the highest attendance we've seen all year! Thanks to the amazing effort and hard work from all our staff, our incredible volunteers, and the overwhelming generosity we received from various donors across Cardiff. A special thank you to The Pantry's very own Ambassador, Jess Fishlock, who showed up with her support yet again, helping make the day special for volunteers and members alike. We hope that everyone who turned up was able to get their hands on all the essentials and nibbles they needed to make Christmas special for their family. Thank you all for your continued support for The Pantry in 2022.

Once again, we would like to thank you all for booking out these activities, turning up and selling out our events. Thank you for your continued support and we hope you’re looking forward to 2023 with Llanrumney Hall.
