Easter Half Term at Llanrumney Hall

We’re excited to host another fun-filled half term this Easter break, so if you’re looking for something to do with the family or to keep the kids occupied, we’ve got you covered!


Here at Llanrumney Hall our team have organised various activities to help keep the kids occupied this Easter – all FREE of charge! Read on to see all the fun and exciting activities we have planned over the next 2 weeks and contact us on 029 2000 1441 or pop into reception to book!


1). Under 5’s Storytime

 

Date and Times:


Monday 25th March: 10-11am

Tuesday 26th March: 9-10am

Wednesday 27th March: 9-10am

 

Tuesday 2nd April: 9-10am

Wednesday 3rd April: 9-10am

 

Age: Under 5’s (Siblings are welcome)

 

Pop down to Llanrumney Hall to keep the little ones entertained and engaged with an hour of storytelling. This relaxed morning activity is the perfect way to get the younger ones’ imaginations flowing and ready for the day as they are told an exciting story.

 

If you’re little ones have siblings that wish to get involved too, they’re more than welcome to join in!

2). Decorating Plant Pots and Planting Sunflowers

 

Date: Monday 25th March

 

Time: 11am-12noon

 

In honour of our Sprinkle and Sprout Gardening Club, we’re encouraging everyone to get involved with this fun gardening activity! This activity is open to all ages and provides an opportunity to get creative in decorating a plant pot and learning a new skill in planting your very own sunflower!

 

Please note this session involves creative messy-play so please dress children in clothes you don’t mind them getting messy in.

3). Arts & Crafts:

 

Date and Times:

 

Monday 25th March: 1-2pm

Tuesday 26th March: 1-2pm

Wednesday 27th March: 1-2pm

 

Tuesday 2nd April: 12-1pm

Wednesday 3rd April: 1-2pm

 

Age: Under 11’s

 

This is the perfect opportunity to let the children run wild with creativity with an hour of Arts & Crafts. Here children will be able to experiment with a variety of artistic mediums and really let their inner artists shine. This club is a perfect opportunity to get them out of the house and using their imagination while also interacting with other children within the community.

 

Please note this activity involves messy-play so please dress children in clothes you don’t mind them getting messy in.

4). Fitness Fun Sessions:

 

Date: Tuesday 26th March

 

Time: 

To cater to different age groups, we have organised two different session times

 

7-11 year old's: 2-3pm

11-16 year old's: 3-4pm

 

Age: 7-16 year old's

 

These sessions are available to our older fitness enthusiasts and offers two different sessions, catered to different age groups which will be split into 7-11 year olds and 11-16 year old's.

 

Exercise can be fun! Don’t believe us? Then pop down to Llanrumney Hall to get involved in an hour of Fitness Fun! These sessions are a great way to get the kids active and allows them to enjoy fitness.

5). Easter Scavenger Hunt

 

Date: Wednesday 27th March

 

Time: 2-3pm

 

Here at Llanrumney Hall the Easter Bunny is visiting early and we look forward to seeing everyone get involved in our Easter scavenger hunt! This exciting event is the perfect Easter activity and fun for the whole family. So pop over to Llanrumney Hall for some Easter excitement with a bit of friendly competition and get involved.

6). Spring and Nature Scavenger Hunt

 

Date: Wednesday 3rd April

 

Time: 2-3pm

 

Age: 10 and Under

 

This activity offers an exciting opportunity for the younger ones to get independently involved in a fun Scavenger Hunt. This Spring and Nature themed hunt will allow the children to develop creative and cognitive skills in following a series of exciting clues to help them find the ‘treasure’ items.

7). Sprinkle and Sprout Gardening Club


Date and Times:

 

Tuesday 26th March: 10-11am

Thursday 28th March: 2-4pm

 

Tuesday 2nd April: 10-11am

Thursday 4th April: 2-3pm

 

Ages: Open to all Ages (children must be accompanied by an adult)

 

Our Sprinkle and Sprout Gardening club will be continuing over the Easter Half Term. So, if you’re interested in learning how to plant your own Flowers, Plants, Herbs and Vegetables or already consider yourself a Gardening expert, then pop down to Llanrumney Hall to get involved in a fun hour of Gardening!

 

This activity is a perfect opportunity to get the whole family involved and also allows you to take these learned skills and carry on the gardening fun at home.

 

Please note that this activity involves light mess-play so please dress in clothes that you don’t mind getting messy in.

Aside from our fun-based, creative activities, this Easter break we are also providing plenty of opportunities for the little ones to pick up a new hobby and get involved in a range of sporting and Musical Theatre clubs! 

 

8). Karate

 

Date and Times:

 

Thursday 28th April: 2-3pm

Thursday 4th April: 2-3pm

 

Age: 4-7 Year Old's

 

These fun sessions explore the martial art exercise of Karate and allows children to interact with others within the community while learning a new skill!

9). Girls Football

 

Date: Tuesday 2nd April

 

Times:

To cater to different age groups we have organised two different session times

 

10-13 year old's: 10:30-1pm

14-16 year old's: 1:30-4pm

 

Age: 10-16 Year Old's

 

We’re excited to offer our own football-fun afternoon available to all girls within the community! These sessions will be catered to different age groups and provide a great opportunity to encourage our girls to get involved in some sporting fun!

10. Street Dance:

 

Date: Wednesday 3rd April

 

Time: 11:30am-12:30pm

 

Age: 7-12 Year Old's

 

Calling all our Dancers for an hour of Street Dance fun here at Llanrumney Hall!

This class offers a chance for our dancing enthusiasts to get involved in an hour of Street Dance, whether they’ve danced before or are beginners looking to learn! This session requires no previous ability or experience and is open to all kids looking to learn this dance style or to express their familiarity with the sport.

11). Musical Theatre

 

Date: Wednesday 3rd April

 

Time: 12:30-1:30pm

 

Age: 7-12 Year Old's

 

This class is the perfect opportunity for all our little stars to creatively express their talents and love for the stage! So if you’re interested, come down to Llanrumney Hall for this Musical theatre experience and give your child the chance to show of their acting or singing abilities and engage with other kids within the community. These sessions require no previous experience or abilities and is open to all children looking for the chance to get involved in Musical Theatre.
