Well, that’s a wrap on Llanrumney Hall’s 2023 House of Horrors Halloween event. What an amazing weekend! We would like to begin by saying a huge thank you to everyone from the community who attended across the three days. We welcomed close to 1,000 people through our gates, and we’re delighted that yet another Halloween event hosted by The Hall has been such a massive success. It’s extremely rewarding to see the time and effort put into this has more than paid off.
We had absolutely fantastic feedback from those who attended – each saying the House of Horrors tour was just as enjoyable as it was thrilling!
The grounds saw a disco in the polytunnel with plenty of groovy moves and party games! Our live animal show, hosted by The Nearly Wild Show, provoked both excitement and adrenaline while the children got to hold a variety of creatures including tarantulas, snakes, guineapigs, lizards, rats and more…
It’s easy enough to say how much of a success the event was now, but that most certainly wasn’t without months of hard work. Our amazing staff, volunteers and youths are what made this event possible, and we can’t thank them enough for dedicating their time.
Our amazing volunteers included Andrea Bakhtiari, Bertie Borley, Christine Borley, Joanna Borley Parker, Steve Borley, Lucy Dando, Adrian Ferguson, Comfort Lee, Rosalyn Mortimer, Jo Parker, Julie Powell, Allanah, Amelia, Charlotte, Dylan, Gwen and Lily.
The talented individuals from our youth group included Chris Humpherys, Chloe Wallace, Joseph Humphreys, Jack Humphreys, Becky Humphreys, Lana Miller, Alex Kazmierczak, Chloe Huggins, Gallo Mostert, Arlo, Ollie, Maddison, Kimmy, Alex, Mark, Anna and Oliver.
Our hardworking staff included Jacqulyn Dando, Ronan Dowling, Esme French, Mary Harris, Yolanda Heichlinger, Kath Hinton, Wayne Mortimer, Craig Smith, Myles Stonier, Mackenzie Webber and Beth Willis.
Thank you to security; Les Newman, Neil Disson, Russell Davies, Richie Smith, Leroy Bratcher and Chris Nurse who kept the event enjoyable and issue free!
A huge shout out to Faith Smith from Smith Face Painting for providing our guests with spooky Halloween themed face painting.
A further thank you to Steve Borley, Bertie Borley, Kelly Yorath and Lacey Parry for hosting a lovely BBQ across the three days and supplying our guests with hot food. The burgers and hotdogs really were delicious!
And we would like to say a final thank you to all those who brought tickets and came on either of the three days. You all created an amazing atmosphere and made our event great! Hopefully see you all next year at Halloween @ The Hall.
We can’t wait to bring this back for you again next year and introduce even more local people to the haunting home of Llanrumney Hall. Until then, thank you to each and every person who showed up for this event – the feedback was better than we could have ever expected and that makes all the difference.
