Cardiff Council Is Working in Partnership With Llanrumney Hall Community Trust To Provide A New Multi Use Games Area (MUGA) To Be Sited On Land Adjacent To Llanrumney Hall.
We are delighted to be able to provide an update on the multi-use games area (MUGA) facility that will be coming to Llanrumney this year.
Llanrumney Hall have secured funding from the Council’s Neighbourhood Renewal Scheme to develop a 30m x 15m hard surfaced playing area which we will then manage and maintain. The facility will be free to use by the local community and will be marked out for netball, basketball and 5 a-side football. This aligns with Llanrumney Hall’s effort to encourage new opportunities in sports and exercise in the local area at affordable rates for local people.
Cardiff Council’s Cabinet Member for Housing and Communities, Cllr Lynda Thorne, said: “We believe that the Multi Use Games Area will be a welcomed and well used facility that adds further to the extensive range of opportunities that Llanrumney Hall Community Trust already offers to the people of Llanrumney.”
We have attached an image below of an existing MUGA that was recently opened in Llanedeyrn. There is also an aerial image of where the MUGA will be situated on the grounds of the Llanrumney Hall field.
We look forward to providing more details on this MUGA as it develops and equally look forward to seeing it being used by the children and community of Cardiff East.
