The Pantry Is Now Open For A Second Day!

We are delighted to announce to you all that we will be opening the Llanrumney Hall Pantry for a second day each week, to accommodate those of you who have not been able to attend Thursdays openings for a variety of reasons. On Tuesday 6th April, we will be opening The Pantry for a second day each and every week between the hours of 3-6pm.

We never could have anticipated being able to do this when we first opened last October however the demand and feedback has been so positive on this facility that we wanted to meet the needs of the people in the area.

We also noted from a survey conducted several weeks ago that many members were struggling to attend due to commitments during Thursday day. The majority of our feedback suggested opening for a second day midweek at a slightly later time would allow people to finish work and pick the kids up from school etc. Hopefully we have now achieved that with our Tuesday opening and those that previously could not attend will now find it easier.

Other than the time change, the rest of the functionality will operate as normal with members paying in advance at the reception and then queuing in the polytunnels. Children are of course welcome to come and queue with their parents or guardians also.

This second operational day was initially created to accommodate those who couldn't attend on Thursday's, therefore although you are allowed to shop on both days each week, we are encouraging new members and visitors to show their faces as we want to make sure everyone gets a fare opportunity at attending The Pantry.

The membership fee will still be £5 per person for each visit and will entitle you to 10 items worth between £15-25. Please note that we will be capping the Tuesday session to 30 people due to being open for only 3 hours.

If you have not yet signed up and would like to now that we are open for a second day, you can do so by clicking here or head over to our Pantry page for more details here.

We want to thank everyone for their support of this community facility - it of course could not have been achieved without your backing and with the memberships growing each day, it’s giving us the opportunity to build this project into a bigger and better service.
