Llanrumney Hall Summer Activity Programme

Llanrumney Hall Community Trust have partnered with Cardiff and Vale College once again this year to bring you our Summer Programme, all kindly fully funded by the College!


We have pieced together a range of activities and sessions covering all ages, and some even suitable for families. A great chance to get out of the house this summer and do something different. Best of all, they're all completely FREE!

1. Arts & Crafts for Everyone:




Description:

Llanrumney Hall have teamed up with Cardiff and Vale College to bring you Arts & Crafts Club. There'll be an opportunity to experiment with a variety of mixed media, which are detailed in the time slots below. This club aims to bring the creative and artistic side out of us that lies beneath everyone, children and adults alike!


If you’re a young person who doesn’t feel comfortable doing certain Arts and Crafts activities, we do have alternative Arts and Crafts options to suit your needs.*

2. Under 5's Story Time:



Description:

Join us at Llanrumney Hall for story time and colouring for under 5's. This will be a fun and relaxing experience, giving children the chance to learn a story and get creative. Parents/guardians need to come along for this.

3. 10+ Club:



Description:

Rock up and just go with the flow and see what our session-runner Chris Humphreys has got in store for you, he's open to suggestions!

4. Under 8's Family Story Workshop:





Description:

Similar to our previously popular and loved Stickman Workshop, we're bringing you another Family Story Workshop! Read the story then carry out fun activities surrounding the story - a different story for each of the time slots below. A great way to get children engaged in reading.

5. Family Science:





Description:

Do you love science and wacky experiments? Come down to Llanrumney Hall this summer to get involved with exciting science experiments, games, and fun. Not one to miss, conducted by a real science teacher!

6. Wicketz:


Description:

Wicketz is back! Open to all abilities, pop down to The Hall and get some fresh air and meet new friends whilst having fun. Please dress and wear shoes appropriate for cricket.

7. KOKO Dance Classes:



Description:

Come dance with Keziah! She is a professional dancer and owns her own academy, so come along for a taster session. Keziah is committed to training dancers in a positive and fun atmosphere, whilst also building the confidence to shine. Don't miss this opportunity!

8. Explore Workshop:





Description:

We have teamed up with Explore Learning to bring you The Explorers Quest.


This workshop has been designed with their expert curriculum developers for children aged between 5-11. The session will have participants engaged in a fun-filled story in which they will be required to overcome challenges put before them which will put the joy into learning.


Children will undertake a quest to find ‘The Explore Games’ Mascot, Blaze the Phoenix. The Explore Games cannot proceed without the treasured mascot, and we need help to solve this mystery. By overcoming Math's and English challenges, children will develop skills such as teamwork, critical thinking, problem-solving, and many more!

9. MOLE Education Music Workshop:





Description:

Our friends and partners at Ministry of Life Education are back again this year, bringing their fun and interactive freestyle music workshop to Llanrumney Hall. They are bringing along professional music instructors and high-end equipment to teach young people how to make music, provide DJ skills, develop live performance skills, lyric writing, music production and more. This is truly an amazing opportunity and if you or your kids are stuck in the house and have a love for music or aspire to be a DJ then this is the perfect first step which won’t cost you a penny. Children can come alone or bring a guardian if they wish.
