Our partners at Cardiff and Vale College hosted the World Skills UK Finals right here at Llanrumney Hall last Friday. The Foundation Skills Horticulture Competition welcomed 7 competitors from across the UK, and it was wonderful to see our Polytunnels being utilised for such great skills development in a sector as vital as horticulture.
CAVC said skills competitions are taking place across both the City Centre Campus and ICAT, and within Cardiff and Vale College there has also been a raft of different opportunities for the learners to take part in. They said the week was also a great chance to inspire the learners about what they can achieve and to be the best they can be.
Well done for the hard work and such beautiful garden creations, Team Wales. It was great to give you and supporters alike a warm welcome. We look forward to hearing the announced winner on Steph’s Packed Lunch – Channel 4 within the next few days.
