Llanrumney Hall Win 2026 Community Heritage Renovation Excellence Award

We’re proud to announce that Llanrumney Hall Community Trust has received the Community Heritage Renovation Excellence Award 2026, from SME News as part of the Welsh Enterprise Awards.

To receive this recognition in the awards’ 10th anniversary year is a tremendous honour, particularly in a category that reflects the very purpose of our charity - protecting an important piece of local heritage and securing its future for the community.

Once in a severe state of disrepair, our Grade II* listed Hall faced the prospect of its history and heritage being lost. Its restoration brought the building back to life, reopening its doors in 2019 as a community hub with opportunities, support and spaces for local people.

Our Founder and Trustee, Steve Borley, grew up in Llanrumney, and his determination to give back to his community, alongside his support through CMB Engineering, helped turn an ambitious vision into a lasting legacy.

This award is a meaningful recognition of years of commitment and the collective effort behind that transformation. Today, the Hall’s heritage lives on through the people who use it, the activities it hosts and the community it serves.

A proud moment for our team, volunteers, partners and supporters, and everyone who has helped give Llanrumney Hall its next chapter.

Thank you to SME News for this recognition and for celebrating the work being done to preserve local heritage and support our community.
