Lord Mayor and Lady Mayoress Visit Llanrumney Hall for Networking Event

It was a pleasure to welcome the Lord Mayor and Lady Mayoress back to Llanrumney Hall recently for a successful morning of business networking, bringing together local organisations, businesses, and community supporters from across Cardiff.

Supported by our good friends at CMB Engineering, the event provided guests with the opportunity to connect with one another, explore the Hall, and learn more about the history of the building, the work of the Trust, and the wide range of activities and services delivered at Llanrumney Hall throughout the year.

The morning began with a speech from the Lord Mayor, who reflected on his visit to Llanrumney Hall recently, as well as sharing insights into his experience as Lord Mayor so far. Guests were also given the opportunity to ask questions and hear more about the work he has carried out during his time as Mayor, along with what is next to come during the remainder of his time.

The morning also helped raise over £5,000 in vital funding, providing valuable support for Llanrumney Hall and helping us continue delivering for the local community. Funds raised will also support two charities chosen by the Lord Mayor and Lady Mayoress, both of which are causes very close to their hearts: Forget Me Not Chorus, which supports people living with dementia, and Rescue Hotel, an organisation dedicated to caring for rescue dogs.

Guests were invited to take part in one of our popular guided house tours, offering a closer look at the Hall’s rich history and restoration journey. The event concluded with refreshments and a fantastic spread prepared by our wonderful tenants at Beans To Coffee At The Hall.

We would like to thank everyone who attended the networking event and contributed towards raising funds for these three important causes. It was a fantastic morning and a wonderful opportunity to showcase Llanrumney Hall, the work taking place within the building, and the continued support from the local business community.
