May Half Term 2026 At Llanrumney Hall

May Half Term is back, and so is our exciting Half Term Programme! We’ve got all your favourite activities lined up to help keep the children entertained while school’s out.

This May, we’ll be hosting a range of exciting and completely free activities for children and families to enjoy throughout the week. Whether your child enjoys getting creative, exploring outdoors, playing games or getting hands-on in the garden, there’s something for everyone to enjoy at Llanrumney Hall.

All activities are completely free of charge and can be booked by calling our reception team on 029 2000 1441.

1) Arts & Crafts

Our Arts & Crafts sessions are always a favourite during the school holidays! Children will have the chance to get creative, enjoy plenty of fun activities and make something exciting to take home with them afterwards.

From painting and colouring to hands-on crafts, there will be lots to keep little ones entertained throughout the session.

Please note: Some activities may involve paint and messy play, so we recommend wearing appropriate clothing.

2) Playshack

Hosted by Cardiff Council, Playshack encourages children to enjoy creative outdoor play using a wide range of exciting materials and resources. It’s all about imagination, adventure and having fun outdoors in a safe and welcoming environment.

Children will be able to build, create, explore and play freely while making the most of the outdoor space and activities available.

3) Board Games Session

Join us for a relaxed afternoon of board games and friendly competition! Whether your child enjoys classic family games or something more strategic, there will be plenty of options available for everyone to enjoy.

Feel free to bring your own favourite board games along or choose from the selection available at Llanrumney Hall.

4) Gardening Session

Our gardening activities have been flourishing recently, and this session gives children the perfect opportunity to get involved and develop their green thumbs.

Children will have the chance to help out in our polytunnel, learn more about growing plants and explore everything currently being grown and cared for at Llanrumney Hall.
