This week marks Mental Health Awareness Week in the UK – an important subject and something that we are all increasingly making an effort to talk more openly about.
The theme for this years MHA Week is ‘Movement: Moving more for our mental health’ and so we have put together a list of physical activities that you can sign up to that take place at Llanrumney Hall which can be of benefit to not only your physical health, but just as importantly, your mental health too.
Whether you’re looking to find peace through the slow and controlled movements of the Tai Chi meditation sessions, would like to be on your feet and at one with nature in our weekly Gardening Club or would rather a soothing and passive style of Yoga open to all abilities and ages, we probably have the thing for you!
And if exercise isn’t for you but you are seeking support, our community offers various groups and clubs to help you engage socially - whether that’s through our Cuppa and Company group, Sound and Sleep Therapy sessions, or our weekly Dementia support programme, simply read below to find the full list of activities and classes that you can sign up to – many of which are free!
And remember, although this week officially marks Mental Health Awareness week, we should be prioritising it in all of our lives all year-round.
